Why is Erath County continuing to shield suspects accused of sex crimes against children?
We can obtain a photo is a DWI or public intoxication, but when it comes to helping us inform ourselves about potential child predators in our community an Erath County elected official appears to have made zero effort over the past 18 months. ZERO.
Four suspects in this post have been arrested for sex crimes against children. The only photograph is one taken several years ago.
Three other suspects were accused of sex crimes, and the current administration provided no photos.
The update to the county website causing “photo problems” is no longer a valid excuse. The refusal to fix this problem is being noted by voting community members. The Erath County Jail’s roster is a public example of our tax dollars at work, and the system is FAILING.
Just imagine the shoddiness of work we can’t see.

In light of recent events in Texas, it would be best to remember the public is fed up with all the excuses. Those who can’t or won’t protect our children can easily be replaced by someone who will.

An acquaintance was recently jailed for DUI. He spent four days in jail, but was not photographed or fingerprinted until he was being released.
Laws need to be stricter, punishment needs to be much harder on sexual assault, or indecency with minor. Most all are repeat offenders. Never, ever should a criminal convicted of amy sex crime, regardless of their age be allowed to attend a public school as was allowed this past year in Comanche High School! He went on to assault 3 more victims until we finally got thru all the schools Official Hearings! Thankfully, we did not back down and he was arrested and sent to jail for a good while. Unfortunately, he had the opportunity allowed him by the school to assault 3 more victims before he was removed. My granddaughter had to see him daily in school until he was removed. This convicted criminal…on probation… was allowed into the school with his victim! Laws need to be changed! Victims should be protected! This should have never had to happen to 3 more victims..period! When he gets out of jail we will fight to the end to male sure he is a registered sex offender! Never stop fighting for the victims.
